Ingredients

500gdried black beans, soaked overnight
300gsmoked pork ribs
200gchouriço, sliced
200gsmoked bacon, diced
1large onion, diced
4 clovesgarlic
2bay leaves
1 tspcumin
orange slicesto serve
steamed riceto serve
farofato serve

Instructions

Simmer black beans with pork ribs, bay leaves and water 1.5 hours.

Fry bacon, then chorizo in a large pot until browned.

Add onion, garlic and cumin. Cook 5 minutes.

Add to beans. Simmer all together 30 minutes.

Mash a cup of beans and stir back to thicken.

Serve with rice, farofa and orange slices.
