A backyard Chinese firm tofu noodle dish with fresh ginger, scallions and garlic, finished with tamari, five spice and sesame oil, served over jasmine rice.
Ingredients
Instructions
Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then cube it, season, and stir-fry over medium-high heat until well browned, about 6 minutes.
Add the ginger, scallions and garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 7 minutes.
Stir in the tamari, five spice, sesame oil and Shaoxing wine for 2 minutes.
Cook the jasmine rice separately and fluff with a fork.
Let the tofu simmer for about 9 minutes so the flavors meld.
Taste and adjust the seasoning.
Serve hot over the jasmine rice, garnished with fresh herbs.
