Ingredients

400gfirm tofu
2bok choy
150gshiitake mushrooms
2garlic
2 cupsrice noodles
to tastehoisin sauce
1/4 cupfive spice
2 tspchili oil
1 tbspolive oil
to tastesalt and black pepper

Instructions

Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture, then cube it, season, and saute over medium-high heat until well browned, about 9 minutes.

Add the bok choy, shiitake mushrooms and garlic, cooking until softened, about 8 minutes.

Stir in the hoisin sauce, five spice and chili oil for 3 minutes.

Cook the rice noodles separately according to package directions.

Let the tofu simmer for about 11 minutes so the flavors meld.

Taste and adjust the seasoning.

Serve hot over the rice noodles, garnished with fresh herbs.
