500gbread flour
7gdried yeast
1 tspsalt
1 tspsugar
300mlwarm water
3 tbspgrape molasses or dark treacle
150gsesame seeds
Instructions

Mix flour, yeast, salt and sugar. Add warm water and knead 10 minutes. Prove 1 hour.

Divide into 8 pieces. Roll each into a long rope and form into a ring.

Mix molasses with 3 tbsp water. Dip rings in molasses mixture, then coat heavily in sesame seeds.

Rest 20 minutes. Bake at 200°C for 20–25 minutes until deep golden.

Best eaten warm the day of baking.
