400gplain flour
100gbutter or ghee
150mlwarm water
1 tspsalt
300glamb mince
1onion, finely diced
50gpine nuts, toasted
1 tspground allspice
1 tspground cinnamon
oil for deep fryingabout 1L
Instructions

Rub butter into flour and salt, add water to form a smooth dough, rest 30 minutes.

Fry onion until golden, add lamb and brown well.

Add spices and pine nuts, cook 5 minutes until dry.

Roll pastry thin, cut into circles 10cm diameter.

Place a teaspoon of filling on each circle.

Fold over and crimp edges firmly to seal.

Deep fry at 180C for 4-5 minutes until golden.

Drain and serve hot with yoghurt for dipping.
