200gsplit moong dal yellow lentils
150gghee
200gsugar
500mlmilk
1 tspcardamom ground
50gcashews and raisins mixed
Instructions

Soak dal 2 hours. Blend coarsely.

Heat ghee in a heavy pan. Add dal paste. Stir constantly over medium heat 20–25 minutes until golden.

Heat milk and sugar until sugar dissolves.

Pour into dal stirring. Cook 10 more minutes until absorbed.

Stir in cardamom, cashews and raisins. Serve warm.
