Terms of Service
Last updated: June 7, 2026
Who you're contracting with
Disharoo ("Disharoo", "we", "us") is a registered business based in Australia. By using the Disharoo app or website (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service
Disharoo provides AI-generated recipe suggestions based on the ingredients and preferences you enter, and lets you save recipes to your own account for personal use. Recipes are for inspiration only — please use your own judgement when cooking and consuming food, and check for allergens and food safety.
Your account
You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to create an account. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service unlawfully or to facilitate fraud, spam, or abuse;
- submit prompts or inputs intended to generate content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual content involving minors, or that infringes others' rights;
- attempt to interfere with the Service's security, probe or scan it, or introduce malware;
- scrape, mass-download, reverse engineer, or resell the Service or its outputs;
- circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or other technical controls.
Payments, subscriptions and Merchant of Record
Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all Disharoo orders. Paddle handles all customer service inquiries relating to billing, payments, taxes, invoices and refunds, and processes returns on our behalf.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose) at the then-current price, until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or via paddle.net; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. Applicable sales tax, VAT or GST is collected by Paddle based on your location. Full payment and billing terms are set out in Paddle's Buyer Terms. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Intellectual property
Disharoo and its underlying software, design, branding and content (excluding your inputs) are owned by Disharoo and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for personal, non-commercial cooking inspiration. You retain ownership of the ingredients, prompts and notes you submit, and grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, fail to pay for a paid plan, use the Service in a way that creates security, legal or fraud risk, or if we reasonably believe your account has been compromised. You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will continue to apply.
No warranty
The Service and AI-generated recipes are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis with no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, safety, or nutritional suitability. You are responsible for verifying ingredient safety, allergen information and preparation methods. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disharoo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business arising out of your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid to us (via Paddle) in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll let you know in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Subject to any non-excludable consumer rights you have where you live, you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
