Golden Syrup Dumplings
Australian baked golden syrup dumplings, sitting in a buttery syrup sauce — proper winter comfort food. Dropping the soft dough straight into the hot, bubbling sauce rather than a cold one is what starts cooking the dumplings immediately, letting them puff up light rather than sinking and turning dense.
