Ingredients

1kgBramley or Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced
3 tbspcaster sugar
1 tspcinnamon
1 tbsplemon juice
1 cupplain flour
1 cuprolled oats
1/2 cupcaster sugar
100gcold butter, cubed
custard or creamto serve

Instructions

Toss apple with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Place in a baking dish.

Make crumble: mix flour, oats and sugar. Rub in cold butter until clumpy.

Scatter crumble over apple.

Bake at 190°C for 35-40 minutes until golden on top and bubbling at the edges.

Serve warm with custard or cream.
